I did a quick ride this morning before getting down to final preparations for our French trip tomorrow night. When I say quick I mean a short ride not a fast ride. I wont bother with the details other than to say it was a 24 mile loop on a nice day. For which I completely overdressed. Once I got out it was much warmer than it looked from indoors..
My bike is ready and set to go and all the final packing away in the car can’t really be done until tomorrow night but there’s plenty of things to keep me busy in the meantime.
On another note, my wife Jan has decided to do a blog of our trip as all her friends were complaining my blog has been all about cycling other years. So I said rather me change what I write, which wont be all about cycling by the way, she should do one herself. So if you click on this link ‘Jans Blog’ you will get the female, non cycling perspective. There is also a link to her site in my Blogroll in the sidebar.
I am not sure how frequent my blog postings will be once I am away. It will depend on being able to get a free (if possible) wi-fi connection. I will be updating my twitter and facebook accounts more regularly I expect and you will find links to those in the sidebar too.
Departure time is tomorrow evening after granddaughter Ruby’s birthday party. Will hitch up the trusty caravan and off to the Channel Tunnel for a 1:20 AM!! crossing.
